Living in Love Presenting Couples

Thank you for your willingness to share yourselves in order that others may experience the gift of Living in Love.

First Time Presentors:

If you are facilitating for the first time, know how valuable you are as a witness to the impact that Living in Love can have on a couple who is willing to prioritize their marriage. You also make it clear that living in love is possible for them, because you were sitting where they are just a few short months ago. Your sharings will be real, relevant, and relatable, because you are closest to where they themselves are living. As a “rookie,” you will normally be asked what exercise(s) you would like to facilitate the first time out. Please, click on the “Rookie Privilege” link to help you decide. You will also want to read the Presentor Guidelines document to understand what is expected of you and to become familiar with the resources that are available to you and how they work together to help you prepare.

Experienced Presenters:

If you have facilitated before, you are an incredible witness to the continuing impact of Living in Love and the long term effect it has had on your lives. You bring wisdom and insight into relationship as well as your experience of significant behavioral change. You give couples hope for how great their marriage can be for the rest of their lives.

If you are the “most” experienced couple on the Facilitating Team, you will generally be responsible for ensuring that the team is prepared, that all administrative and supporting details of the weekend have been attended to, that the weekend runs smoothly, and that the Living in Love Every Day followup program is available. You will normally convene and lead the pre-weekend Team Meeting and take an active roll throughout the weekend in training less experienced couples to understand the process flow and supporting tasks for each exercise.

All Presenters:

Every Day in Love Facilitating Couples

Thank you for your willingness to facilitate the Every Day in Love Program. Your personal presence and welcoming spirit will invite more love into the lives of everyone who attends. Without your generosity and ambition for others, they would not have this opportunity to grow in love.

Every Day in Love is designed to be flexible in presentation. You may choose to welcome the participants and use the video-based content presentation entirely or present the content yourselves choosing to augment your personal examples with examples from the videos if and when you would like.

This program is great fun to present and a delight to witness as couples open up to each other and the energy and joy grow in front of your eyes.

If you plan to present any portion of the content yourself, the web site provides access to the scripted materials you will need to prepare and facilitate Every Day in Love. You will be given a password that will enable you to open subsequent pages and access the intellectual property of the PMRC. All the Presentation Notes and supporting materials are copyright protected and are provided for your one-time use in facilitating Every Day in Love. These are intended for your personal use only. No outlines, supporting materials, nor any portion thereof, may be reproduced, copied, shared, or used without the expressed written permission of the authors or the PMRC. We appreciate your support in protecting this material.

If you plan to use the video-based content presentation, it is also currently available through the web site and in the future will be available through a video streaming service.

Preparing to Live in Love Mentor Couples

Thank you for your willingness to share your marriage and yourselves with the engaged so that they may be best prepared to live in love throughout their life together.

You are the key to the engaged couple’s marriage preparation using Preparing to Live in Love. Without you, there is no credible witness to the sacramental calling nor to the practical effectiveness of the skills and tools you will teach them. Your first responsibility is to live in love yourselves. This web site will provide a portal to resources that can help you grow in love and deepen your appreciation for the significant role you play in the life of the church as a sacramental couple. It will also provide access to program specific resources that will be useful to you as you work with the engaged and mentor them through Preparing to Live in Love.

“Rookie” Mentors:

If you are mentoring for the first time, relax and be yourselves. Your engaged couple is more nervous than you are. You will all grow more in love through this experience.

Your Mentor Trainer (the couple who led you through Living in Love Every Day), other experienced Mentors, and the PMRC staff are available to you constantly to help you feel confident about any of the content and the experiential exercises you will facilitate or to assist you in developing examples from your life to illustrate the program content. You have direct access to the authors, Ron and Kathy Feher,. Do not hesitate to contact any of the above.

Experienced Mentors:

No matter how many couples you may have mentored, there may be a situation or a question that comes up that would benefit from a discussion with another Mentor or with the program authors, Ron and Kathy Feher. Do not hesitate to contact them at 610-640-4105 or PMRCusa@msn.com. In addition, your experience is incredibly valuable in continuing to improve Preparing to Live in Love. Please, share your insights, experience, and any suggestions for continuing program development. We are most appreciative of comments that we can quote for publicity purposes or stories about your experience as a Mentor Couple or the experience of the engaged couples you mentor.

Self Taught Mentors:

Couples who are unable to experience Mentor Training with a group lead by an experienced Mentor Trainer may still be certified to Mentor the engaged using Preparing to Live in Love if they complete Living in Love Every Day using the DVD program of self instruction. Once you have completed all 8 sessions, submit the “Request for Self-taught Mentor Certification” (see link below) to the PMRC and we will contact you to discuss program administrative details.

Living in Love Every Day Facilitators

Thank you for your willingness to facilitate Living in Love Every Day. Whether you are an experienced Mentor Trainer or a couple who has simply made Living in Love and have agreed to convene the other couples on your weekend so that all of you may experience the follow-up skills course, it would not happen without you, and we are grateful for your leadership and dedication. This is an incredible opportunity to grow in your own relationship and to observe the growth in others. The materials at your disposal should make it easy to facilitate each session, but the real gift is you. Every effort you make to live the vision of sacramental marriage will equip you with the real life illustrations that make the content of Living in Love Every Day come alive. You are very much ministers of sacramental formation and adult catechesis with an opportunity to be a part of the “new evangelism” spoken of by John Paul II.

First Time Facilitators:

Leading Living in Love Every Day for the first time will be an exciting and rewarding experience. The Mentor Training Manual will provide all the guidance you will need to be successful and the couples themselves will be focused on each other and most appreciative of your willingness to lead them through the course. Your best preparation will be to practice the skills taught in the course and gain your own lived experience to share in illustration. If developing the language of the body, describing and sharing feelings, and consensus decision making are new skills for you, you will want to practice these and experience their fruits before teaching them to others. The program authors, Ron and Kathy Feher are available and happy to coach you in advance of each session. Do not hesitate to contact them at 610-640-4105 or PMRCusa@msn.com.

If there is any way to take on an engaged couple and personally gain the experience of mentoring before or even while leading the Every Day course, it would be a tremendous advantage to do so. All you need is an engaged couple. Talk to your pastor or invite any engaged couple you know to go through Preparing to Live in Love.

Experienced Mentor Trainers:

As an experienced Mentor Trainer, you know the joy of watching the personal growth of couples as they go through Living in Love Every Day. Each opportunity to witness the transformations that take place as couples learn new skills and put them into practice fills us with a sense of awe and respect for the generous, other-centered love lived out before our eyes. Besides your own relationship, you offer the couples experiencing Living in Love Every Day your wealth of personal experience mentoring the engaged. The stories you have to tell will fill the candidate mentors with confidence in the program and openness to becoming mentors themselves.

Always check the online Mentor Training Manual to make sure that you are using the most current materials available.

Mentor Training Manual

In special circumstances, it may be necessary to offer a one-day Mentor Training. Please, use the abbreviated outline and process available online or request the One-Day Mentor Training Manual from the PMRC. If you are considering this alternative, it would also be good to talk with Ron and Kathy Feher to benefit from the experience of others who have run this abbreviated program.

All Living in Love Every Day Facilitators:
